At the conclusion of the series, a limited number of drivers will be selected by an expert panel of judges to participate in a single evaluation event. From this, one driver will be awarded a TGRA 86 Scholarship and a fully funded drive in a TGRA 86 Series event.
The series is conducted over 5 events across Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria. with each event consisting of three races.
Drivers need to be at least 15 years of age to be eligible to compete in the series. To compete at any event conducted at Mount Panorama, drivers need to be at least 16 years of age (in accordance with the Mount Panorama Motor Racing Act 1989 No.108).
The cost to compete in each event is similar to regular state-level competition. No additional administration fees are payable to the category. Whilst the majority of competitors own and drive their own car, some teams offer lease options or arrive-and-drive packages.
